Background Renato graduated with honors as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2018 and moved to the United Kingdom straight after graduation. He started his experience as a rotating intern in a referral hospital in St Helen. He then moved to Surrey to train as a Fitzpatrick Referrals Orthopedic and Neurology surgery intern. After this referral experience, Renato kept working in Surrey as a GP in different veterinary practices, where he started his Surgery Certificate. He then moved to Gloucestershire, where he began a second surgical internship focusing on soft tissue surgery. Meanwhile, he’s enrolled in a part-time PhD program in Clinical Veterinary Sciences at the University of Messina, Italy. Renato currently joined Vet’s Klinic as an advanced veterinary surgeon.
Clinical Interest Renato recently finished his postgraduate certificate in Small Animal Veterinary Surgery. His main interests are surgical oncology, reconstructive skin surgery, and orthopedics. He is also experienced in abdominal and emergency surgery.
At Home Outside of work, Renato is outdoorsy and likes to share hikes and road trips with his best furry friend, Adam. He is a proud Sicilian man who loves cooking Italian food, enjoying good wine, and drinking espresso. Renato is very passionate about the sea and everything it has to offer. He is an experienced scuba diver, loves snorkeling, and has recently developed a passion for surfing.
