Background: Having joined VK in February 2022, Louisa had previous of experience with horses, including freelance work and event grooming, backed by two apprenticeships in equine care and management. She also managed her own pet sitting and dog walking business before transitioning into property management for over five years. Louisa stumbled upon a veterinary assistant job posting while searching for similar roles in property management, ultimately embarking on a new career, and is now approaching their second year of college.
Clinical Interests: Louisa is currently enjoying learning about nutrition and behaviour, she is contemplating further training in these areas once qualified but remains open to other options.
At Home: Louisa shares ownership of a horse called Scooby, a 16.1hh Irish draught X. Louisa dreams of winning the lottery so that she can buy Scooby his own donkey, as they’re his favorite companions. Louisa also shares her home with Roxy, a British Shorthair, an ex-breeding queen, living the life of luxury with an increasing number of beds.
