Our Sustainability Policy
At Vet’s Klinic, we are committed to providing high-quality veterinary care to our clients and their pets while minimising our environmental impact We recognize the importance of sustainability in the veterinary industry, and we are dedicated to integrating sustainable practices into our operations. This Sustainability Policy outlines our commitment to environmental responsibility and social engagement.
Energy Efficiency:
- We will strive to reduce our energy consumption by implementing energy-efficient lighting, appliances, and equipment.
- We operate an automatic lighting system in our corridors and switch off lights and equipment when not in use to save energy where we can.
Water Conservation:
- We will minimise water wastage by maintaining our plumbing systems and adopting water-efficient fixtures and using efficient practices such as not leaving taps running.
Waste Management:
- We reduce waste generation by implementing recycling programs for paper, plastic, glass, and other materials. We have recycling points in the office and reception area. These are to be used when appropriate and then waste discarded into our recycling bin which is collected by Veolia weekly.
- We properly dispose of hazardous waste, such as medical supplies, in accordance with local regulations.
Paperless:
- We limit our paper usage by maintaining electronic clinical records and digital communications where possible. Our unique practice management system helps us to optimise this.
Sustainable Procurement:
- We will try and purchase environmentally friendly and sustainable products where we can e.g. eco-friendly cleaning supplies and recycled office materials.
- We try to reduce plastic waste where we can by choosing bamboo alternatives.
- Our cat litter is made from recycled paper.
Compliance:
All employees of Vet’s Klinic are expected to comply with this Sustainability Policy and actively contribute to our sustainability efforts.
We understand that a sustainable future is essential for the well-being of our clients, their pets, and the planet. We are dedicated to being a responsible and sustainable veterinary practice and will continually strive to improve our environmental and social impact.
